Wrap masking tape over the area to cut to ensure a nice clean cut. 2. Clean cut the hose and clean away debris. 3. Clamp the fitting socket into the vise and insert the hose into the socket 4. Start hand threading the socket down onto the fitting. Be careful not to strip the threads when starting. Tighten the initial threads by hand being careful not to strip the threads when starting. 5.
